About Us
MyRecoveryKC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Recovery Community Organization (RCO) dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by substance use, addiction, and life after incarceration in our virtual community and the metropolitan Kansas City area. We provide holistic, peer-driven services that help people begin or strengthen their recovery and build lasting change.
We know recovery looks different for everyone. At MyRecoveryKC, we embrace multiple pathways to recovery, ensuring every person has access to support that fits their unique journey. Recovery extends beyond stopping substance use to include healing from trauma and rebuilding life while reintegrating into the community after addiction and incarceration.
Through peer support, individual and group counseling, and recovery-oriented programming, our services help people begin recovery. We also provide the tools and support needed to sustain recovery for the long term. At MyRecoveryKC, recovery is about more than overcoming addiction, it’s about healing, rebuilding, and creating a life of dignity, purpose, and renewed identity. Our community exists to walk alongside individuals in every stage of recovery, as well as the families and allies who support them, and to remind our community that recovery is possible for everyone.

Our Vision
Our vision is a community where individuals and families affected by substance use, addiction, and incarceration can heal, rebuild, and thrive by addressing the roots of substance use and breaking free from unhealthy patterns that keep them in the cycle of addiction and recidivism. Through peer-driven support and recovery-oriented services, we aim to foster a culture where recovery is celebrated and sustained, helping every person reclaim their identity, purpose, and sense of belonging.

He holds a master's degree in Organizational Communications and has dedicated his career to expanding access to recovery support services throughout the Kansas City community.
Drawing from both professional expertise and lived experience in recovery, Michael founded MyRecoveryKC to create inclusive, peer-driven recovery supports that honor multiple pathways to recovery while reducing stigma and strengthening community connections.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Rochelle's work has emphasized the macro practice of social work through program development, implementation, organizational leadership, policy development, and cross-sector collaboration. She is passionate about building programs and strengthening organizations that create lasting, positive change for individuals, families, and communities.
As a Director of MyRecoveryKC, Rochelle brings both a clinical and systems-level perspective to the organization. She is an advocate for children, families, and individuals affected by mental health and substance use and is committed to advancing recovery-oriented services through thoughtful governance, ethical leadership, and sustainable organizational growth.
