About Us

 MyRecoveryKC (MRKC) is a  Recovery Community Organization (RCO) serving the Greater Kansas City area and virtual communities. Our mission is to provide recovery-oriented services and systems of care that empower individuals and communities in their journey toward recovery from substance use disorders (SUD). We promote restorative, holistic, and sustainable recovery through recovery-oriented systems of care, which foster physical, mental, social, and spiritual growth. 

As an independent, non-profit organization governed by local recovery community representatives, MRKC is committed to raising awareness and the understanding of recovery through community education and comprehensive peer-based recovery support services. Our services support mental health and SUD treatment, education, and recovery, helping individuals achieve their recovery goals. 

We are particularly passionate about bringing these essential services to underserved communities and individuals with limited access to resources, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to achieve and sustain long-term recovery. Our diverse community includes individuals in long-term recovery, their families, friends, allies, and recovery professionals, uniting multiple pathways to recovery. 

Our mission is to support those affected by substance use and mental health experiences, with recovery oriented services. We support building recovery capital, finding and sustaining meaningful recovery, and living a self-directed life. We believe there are multiple pathways to recovery and that recovery is possible for everyone.
